Fragrance is very much like a personality and mood.  Whether you are going out for the evening or just a day at the office, fragrances help us express who we are and how we are feeling.
What makes fragrances so unique, is that they are made up of notes.  Just like your favourite song is made up of musical notes, fragrances have individual components that, when combined, form a beautiful scent.
So how do you explore this gift box of 24 scent personalities? Hopefully the below will give you a little insight into the magic of perfume.
Perfume’s notes can be separated into three basic categories: top notes, heart notes, and base notes. Notes at the top of the pyramid have a higher volatility (they evaporate faster), while notes at the bottom are longer-lasting.  When you are considering a purchase of a fragrance (especially an expensive hone) you should always try it first…wait an hour or two, and then if the ‘heart’ of the fragrance is still appealing, make your purchase.
